The main activities in the area include skiing, hiking and cycling. In summer there are many hiking trails with beautiful views of the Alpine landscape and many cycling routes.
Another attraction in the area is a visit to the Rieseneishöhle and Mummuthöhle, where guests can explore underground ice caves and look at magnificent stalactites. Nearby there are also beautiful lakes such as Gosausee and Hallstätter See.
For lovers of culture there are many historical monuments, including the picturesque town of Hallstatt, which is inscribed on the world UNESCO heritage list. Here guests can look at the ancient salt mines and visit the local museums and galleries.
